Why this support matters now
I am a mum of one and married. At the moment i've been running a small business in the UAE for almost four years. I used to have a partner but towards the end of last year he opted to leave the company as he would not be able to keep up with obligations. Unfortunately it wasn't as amicable, he wanted me to buy off his shares at an exorbitant amount. We ended up in court and it was brought down to an agreeable amount. Also last year the business had a dip in sales and it greatly affected our turnover coming into this year. In January I was handed an arrest warrant and court order to pay my partner in full, which unfortunately I have not been able to fulfill. We started the year strong with confirmed contracts, however with the war, everything was halted. I have had a number of debts that have already been filed and I feel I'm drowning in debt. My husband who had been jobless the better part of 2025, got a job in November. Which has been going well till this year March 2026 when he and most of his colleagues have been placed on mandatory unpaid leave indefinitely. This has crushed me beyond as getting part time jobs are also getting tough All this has caused me significant stress mentally, physically and I have knocked on so many doors that have been shut on me. I'm still hopeful, I need assistance with paying the debts so that I can release the arrest warrant, have no cases in court and also get rid of my travel ban as I cannot leave the country and see my parents who are elderly. It's just a lot. As it stands I owe my suppliers, vendors, friends and family a total of 380,000 USD I know once I'm back on my feet and business takes off I don't mind paying it back.
